What happen if we dont fix detonation

Yea, whats gonna happen to the engine? are the rings and all other stuff gonna screw some day? I wish i can go back and get a swap!!

Dude, you are going to be fine. Many of us D16z6 owners have been running like this for awhile(2 years). You just have to live with a little detonantion. Just keep and eye on you A/F gauge and adjust fuel accordingly.

I'm going to send my blower off to Endyn in a few months.....but I wish I'd went the turbo route instead. OH WELL

Detonation is baaaad o.k.!! Don't worry about it if you don't mind rebuilding your motor!!

#1 - Most of us are burning about 1/2-1quart of oil a month(or between oil changes). Not to bad off since most of us have motors with 100,000+ miles on them.

#2 - Sending the blower off to Endyn to be modified. They remove and install material from blower casing and smooth out other imperfections(plus some other $hit). This will allow me to run a 3.0 pulley without the heat normally associated with trying to run a 3.4 or smaller pulley.

Drives an LS - I have had my ride dyno'd.....making very close to 140hp and 120ft-lbs torque @wheels

2001PreludeSH - Unlike the Sc'd tegs or CRV's the SC'd SOHC motors seem to be more prone to detonation @6psi. I'm referring to the tip-in detonation problem. What was being stated was that.....what HCVC98 is just learning we have been living with for years. The problem just comes with the set-up. He will be fine as long as he keeps an eye on A/F gauge or EGT, boost, and fuel pressure. Makes sure he checks his plugs and keeps up regular maintenance on his ride. Not a problem if you care about your ride and you understand the problem...eeemmmm okaaaay
